Bollywood’s Bhai- Salman Khan has announced the launch of his personal care brand FRSH, starting with, well, of course, hand sanitizers.
The Bajrangi Bhaijaan-star announced the launch in his Twitter handle on Monday which was Eid. Salman Khan usually releases his films on Eid, unlike this year, for the grim condition from the Pandemic.
The actor says initially a deodorant launch was in their pipeline, but according to “need of the hour” a hand sanitizer has been launched instead.
The actor bantered about the prevalent trend of botching common prepositions like ‘where’ and ‘there’ into shorthands like ‘whr’ and ‘thr’ respectively, which he says is the inspiration for his brand ‘FRSH’ which will be pronounced as ‘fresh.’
The actor confirmed that body wipes, deodorant, and perfume is in the line-up. Initially the products will be available through online order, and will come soon to nearby retail.
The hand sanitizer is made chemical-free, with long-lasting moisturizing benefits from added aloe vera extracts. The product contains 72% alcohol, which is considered effective for a regular hand rub to veer off a lot of harmful microorganisms from hand.
The company, on its website bundles different offerings of the hygiene products that users can choose to purchase. For instance, there is a single 100ml package available for Rs. 50, and two 500ml pack available for Rs. 400.
Currently, prices are set on offer. Salman’s this foray into personal grooming category is a joint venture with Scentials World – a company focused on celebrity-backed brands like Indian cricketer Virat Kohli’s ONE 8 and actor Lara Dutta’s Arias.
Salman has been in the retail industry for quite some time now, with his iconic brand Being Human at the frontline. Other ventures by the Bodyguard actor include e-cycles, fitness equipment, and jewelry.
