Swedish photographer Geert Weggen is not just another great wildlife photographer. He specializes in adorable teeny-weeny red squirrels, whom he sets up in various custom-made props and backdrops.

And fascinatingly, in his world, you’ll find the adorable red squirrels proposing each other with a dandelion, weight-lifting with a bunch of nuts, smelling a flower (which they do), and even lighting a candle and so much more.

An international award holding artist, his captures have been featured in numerous websites, calendars, newspapers, and magazines. Even National Geographic covered his works thrice. Speaking to Bored Panda, Weggen shared the fairytale-like instance that brought him to do squirrel photoshoot fulltime.

Weggen’s photography with wildlife started with a fox that came to his doorstep. He went to fetch food for it, and while retuning came with his camera. The fox would return daily, and he would seize the opportunity to click pictures every day. By two weeks, the fox would even co-operate with him over some photography props. Things rolled and squirrels started to arrive, mamma, babies altogether. And since then, their bonding is evident below.

As we tell you more about this amazing photographer, you continue to enjoy his clicks.

Speaking to Bored Panda, photographer Weggen said: “a Russian bird visited me and continued doing so daily. Suddenly, my balcony had become a wildlife photographers’ studio filled with nature props, cameras, mirrors, etc. The bird followed me, and I followed the bird with my camera, as it searched for hidden food in scenes that I had created.”
