Fire in Israel's West Bank kills Palestinian: Sources
Jerusalem, Undefined: On Tuesday, a Palestinian motorist was killed and his wife was injured by Israeli fire in the occupied West Bank, according to the Palestinian health ministry.
According to the ministry, the Palestinian died "after receiving head wounds from live fire in Bir Nabala... and his wife sustained bullet wounds to her back."
The shooting occurred early in the morning while the couple was driving in their car, according to the Palestinian official Wafa news agency.
The reason for the couple's shooting was unknown at the time.
The Israeli military had no immediate comment when contacted by AFP. According to local reports, the dead man was named Osama Sidqi Mansur, 42.
On Monday evening, there were clashes between Palestinian residents and the Israeli army in the Bir Nabala area, according to the news agency.
Israel has occupied the West Bank since the 1967 Six-Day War.
