Internet pours in help for 14-years-old whose egg cart was overturned because he didn’t pay bribe

An incident of a 14-years-old boy whose egg cart was overturned by authorities just because he did not pay Rs.100 bribe went viral in no time. Now, help has poured in and the poor boy’s business is back, perhaps better.

The incident took place in Indore, where the small boy sells eggs on a cart. According to reports, officials warned the boy to remove the cart or pay an Rs. 100 fee but he denied. The result was, his egg cart, probably an important source of earning, was overturned.

Someone filmed the incident and posted online and it quickly went viral. In the video, the boy can be seen yelling at the officials who have left the scene after committing the heartless crime. The egg cart can be seen lying with all the eggs spilled on the road.

This incident comes at a time when business is greatly hampered in India, like elsewhere in the world. According to the India Times, the boy’s family was struggling to meet the demands, and after the incident, they were more worried.

Now it comes, help has poured in for the little boy – ‘Chottu’. Instagram page, Indoor City Vibes posted an update regarding the current development of the incident and has reported that the case has been taken care of.

“All Chottu’s issues have been resolved,” the post read in Hindi. “All those who have helped, I am thankful from the bottom of my heart. As long as people like you exist, no poor will sleep hungry,” the caption read.

Another video, a man named Mr. Vikas Rao, whom admin mentions in the caption, can be seen speaking to the boy and his family, including his grandfather. Mr. Rao asks if all is well, the old man responds positively. It can be even heard people have offered to help the needy family with lodging as well. Watch the full video below.

This incident reaffirms the power of the internet. Had the whole affair not recorded and spread on social media, who can say, maybe Chottu’s family would join those millions who are unfairly treated by people in power, but unfortunately, they’re not filmed and shared on social media.
