Oscar nominees in the main categories

Los Angeles, United States: Here are the nominees in key categories for the 93rd Academy Awards, to be handed out in Los Angeles on Sunday.

"Mank" leads the nominations with 10, but experts have picked road movie "Nomadland" as the one to beat in several top categories including best picture.

As Oscars begin to take shape, the Academy announced Wednesday that this year's award show would be televised live and "in-person" from different locations.

The Academy Awards have been held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles in recent decades, but with the country's second-largest city still under Covid-19 limits, the ceremony is "adapting to the pandemic's requirements," according to a spokesperson.
