India Coronavirus: caseload crosses 2 million earlier than the US & Brazil did

On Saturday, India recorded a whopping 57,000 new cases in the last 24-hours, third day in a row the world’s largest democracy recoreded daily caseload over 50,000.

A Bloomberg report from last week stated India’s daily spike is the world’s fastest, as several thousand daily infections were recorded since the government ramping up the testing.

Maharashtra, India’s financial capital continues to be the epicenter for India’s COVID-19, with rapid rise noted in other states like Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Delhi, according to Federal Health Minister data.

Number of caseload apparently increased in India with the government ramping up daily testing. Meanwhile, India’s recovery rate improves to 64.53 per cent with a further drop of fatality rate by 2.15 per cent.
