An Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 777 aircraft was caught in a dramatic fire at Shanghai Pudong Airport shortly after the flight landed from Brussels.
Images posted on social media shows the rear part of the plane, near the tail burning furiously. According to media reports, the airplane will be unlikely to be salvaged for further use. Fortunately, the Boeing 777 is a cargo plane, and no one was injured.
The burnt airplane, like many other carriers of the world, was being used by Ethiopian Airlines for ferrying cargo, as the pandemic has literally seized the passenger air traffic in recent times.
