A lady police officer on duty in the Hatia railway station went ahead to do more than her official duty. Amid India’s endless migrant crisis, and stories of the plight of the labors, incident like this roots faith to humanity.
The Assistant Sub Inspector of Railway Police was on duty when the Bengaluru-Gorakhpur train arrived in the Hatia railways station. It was then a woman on the train informed her the baby was crying and if a bottle of milk could be arranged, according to reports.
Officer Sushila Badaik wasting no time quickly took her two-wheeler and returned with a warm bottle of milk from her home that she handed over to the woman identified as Merunnisa, whose child was crying and they were returning home to Madhubani, PTI reports.
“The baby was crying, and I rushed to fetch milk,” ASI Badik was quoted as saying. Her out-bound gesture garnered social media attention and the official handle of top Railway offices tweeted her gesture, praising it.

‘Proud of ASI Sushila Badaik as her action showed humanity and commitment,” Railway Minister Piyush Goyal tweeted, PTI reports.
