Teenage climate activist Greta Thunberg gave Trump one friendly advice on Thursday, suggesting the US President who’s facing historic elections in the US, to go watch a good old movie with friend and ‘chill!’
“So ridiculous. Donald must work on his Anger Management problem, then go to a good old fashioned movie with a friend! Chill Donald, Chill!,” wrote the teenager, handing back the exact same patronizing tweet what President Trump shot at her back in 2019.
Thunberg’s comments came in response to President Trump’s all-caps tweet that read ‘STOP THE COUNT!’ which he said referring to the votes being counted in the key states like Michigan and Pennsylvania, which was apparently not in his favor.
President Trump could not digest Greta being named TIME magazine’s Person of the Year in 2019 — a title Trump held in 2016 — and wrote responding to a tweet that congratulated the teenager:
“So ridiculous. Greta must work on her Anger Management problem, then go to a good old fashioned movie with a friend! Chill Greta, Chill!”
Greta, however at that time did not rebuked the US President and instead altered her Twitter bio artistically writing: “A teenager working on her anger management problem. Currently chilling and watching a good old fashioned movie with a friend.”
Greta, a teenager from Sweden, made international headlines for her rigid and remarkably persistent protest against climate change which she started by skipping school on Fridays and staging a one-person protest near the Swedish parliament.
Gradually, she was joined by millions from around the world, leading to climate stikes in big cities, marchers of hundreds of thousands of people across Europe and the US.
Donald Trump’s agitations come amid key wing states that are apparently sliding away from Trump’s ages, even by razor-thin margins in some cases.
Starting Wednesday Trump has taken Twitter on frenzy by posting numerous misleading and disputed claims, including disputing the vote-counting, and lodging legal battles without any concrete evidence, one of which he already lost.
This is not the first time Greta took a dig at President Trump. During the United Nations Climate Action Summit in New York last year’s September, she refused to talk to Trump since “(…)he, of course, is not going to listen to me?”
That year during the UN climate action event, Thunberg famously glared at Trump in a post-telecast event that made global headlines.
In July this year, Thunberg was awarded the Gulbenkian Prize for Humanity and donated the award money she received as a prize of $1.5 million to organizations to fight back climate change.
