Hollywood actor Kelly Preston passes away after a two-years long battle with breast cancer, husband John Travolta announced on Instagram. She was just 57.
The death of the actor has taken the world by a surprise since the star chose to keep her battle with cancer undercover. “Choosing to keep her fight private, she had been undergoing medical treatment for some time, supported by her closest family and friends, “Preston’s family exclusively told media outlet PEOPLE.
The actor is now survived by her husband John Travolta and two children: daughter Ella, 20, and 9-year-old son Benjamin; son Jett died at 16 in January 2009.
“It is with a very heavy heart that I inform you that my beautiful wife Kelly has lost her two-year battle with breast cancer,” Travolta wrote on Instagram.

Kelly Preston, born Kelly Kamalelehua Smith on October 13, 1962, in Honolulu, Hawaii, rose to stardom with the teenage flick Mischief, in 1985. Her trajectory of growth continued with films like Secret Admirer, Twins, Space Camps and Jerry Maguire, among others.
Her last role came in the film Gotti in 2018, where she starred as Victoria Gotti, opposite her husband’s role as a mafia boss, John Gotti.
